At Soho Comedy Club, we have a true love of the art of stand up comedy with an emphasis on cutting edge, intelligent comedy. There are loads of comedy clubs that cater to the lowest common denominator; we are not one of them. If your comedy is on the intelligent side, we’d like to hear from you. Send a link of your performance to sohocomedy@gmail.com. In general, we are not interested in new acts, by which we mean fewer than 500 gigs in the past 3 years. There are exceptions for people who have a background in performance and comedy writing before moving into stand up. To put this into perspective, only 2 of our roughly 300 approved acts have less than 7 years experience as stand ups. Most have more than 10 years experience.

Mondays
New material and try-out night. This night is for professional and semi-professional comedians to try out new material and for try-outs for the weekend nights. We no longer accept new acts, by which we mean fewer than 500 gigs in the past 3 years. There are exceptions for people who have a background in performance and comedy writing before moving into stand up, people who come specially recommended, and for those taking the City Academy stand up course.
